Cheesy pizza dip, need I say more? I could live off of small bites and appetizers, so something high in protein for some balance hits the spot for me. I am obsessed with this dip, eaten with veggies or crackers. It’s so good!
The cheesy, gooey, pizza dip is so flavorful and so simple. The base is cottage cheese and pizza sauce (or marinara) which gives it that classic pizza flavor. Stir in some seasoning and chopped pepperoni, top with mozzarella and more pepperoni then bake. It’s that easy. You can even add in some sauteed veggies or cooked sausage. Very customizable.
Ingredients needed for the Pizza Dip
- 1 16oz container of cottage cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 2 tbsp shredded parmesan
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- Handful of pepperoni, chopped, plus more for topping
How to Make the High-Protein Pizza Dip
- Start by blending the pizza sauce, parmesan, and cottage cheese with the Italian seasoning and garlic powder until smooth.
- Pour into a small oven-safe baking dish or pan. I use a mini cast iron but a small glass dish works too. Stir in the chopped pepperoni.
- Top with mozzarella and more pepperoni. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, until warm and bubbly. Serve with veggies, crackers, or bread.
- Store leftovers sealed in the fridge, and heat before serving again.
