Crockpot Salsa Chicken

  • 1 crockpot

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken breast this is roughly 4 large chicken breasts. you can do 5 if you end up with an extra
  • 1 12oz salsa jar, milk you use a little more or less depending on the salsa you use. Use a runny salsa, not chunky.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • In the bowl of a crockpot, pour in the salsa, tomatoes, and seasoning. Give it a good stir.
  • Layer in the chicken and toss around to get it all covered.
  • Put the lid on and cook on high for 3 hours, until chicken is cooked through. Or cook on low for about 5 hours.
  • Take the chicken out once it's cooked and shred it. Place back in the crockpot, turn the heat off, cover, and let sit in the salsa mix for at least 30 minutes. I just let it cook in the pot with the sauce before storing it.
