How to Make the Sandwich
- Give the lettuce, meat, cheese, onion, tomato, and peppers a good chop then add:
- Olive oil, a splash a red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar, a little salt & pepper dash of dried oregano, a spoonful of mayo
- Mix then stuff into lightly toasted bread

Absolutely, add whatever meats or cheeses you like. I just find the Italian meats work so well with provolone. Customize to your liking.
Chopping takes about 5 minutes, the perfect amount of time to cut and toast some bread.
Best enjoyed fresh. Leftovers don’t store very well.
Italian Chopped Sandwich
Ingredients
- Bread of choice, I use a lice of Italian loaf
- 5 large salami slices
- 5 large pepperoni slices
- 5 hot ham slices
- 3 slices provolone cheese
- 3 Romain leaves
- sliced red onion However much you like, I do about 2 tbsp
- handful of cherry tomatoes
- 2 tbsp peppercini
- 2 tbsp mayo
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- salt & pepper
Instructions
- Start by cutting the bread. I like to remove some of the inside to make more room for the filling. Lightly toast the bread.
- Start by chopping the lettuce, meats, cheese, onion, and tomato. Give it all a good chop. Add the pepperncini and chop some more. When you get a fine chop, stir in the mayo, a little drizzle of olive oil, the vinegar, dried oregano and season with salt & pepper.
- Stuff into bread and enjoy!
