Instructions
In a large pan over medium heat, cook the onion in a little oil. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and a big pinch of salt and cook for another minute.
In a large bowl, add the black beans and give them little mash. You don't want them completely mashed, just a little textured. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well, then form into roughly 6 patties.
If you can refrigerate for about a half hour, great. If not, start cooking them. I put more oil in the same pan you cooked the onions. I also like to add a little butter which makes a nice crispy outside. Cook each burger for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Serve with lettuce or in a bun. Add all your favorite burger toppings and enjoy!
