Brown the Butter:
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Swirl the pan as it cooks. Once it smells nutty and turns golden brown, remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.1/2 cup unsalted butter
Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.1/2 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 3 bananas 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Combine:
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now.1/2 cup chopped walnuts s or chocolate chipss
Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Tap it on the counter to release any air bubbles. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Cool:
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift it out and cool completely on a wire rack.
