What’s crunchy, sweet, and salty? Chocolate dipped peanut butter banana pretzel bites! Delicious little snacks! These tasty morsels are surprisingly easy to whip up. Packed with the perfect combination of flavors, these pretzel bites are sure to become a fast favorite. Perfect for kids and adults, for a sweet treat or snack. These quick and easy bites will make everyone happy.

All you need is a few simple ingredients and a few minutes of your time. You can eat them right away or store them in the freezer for later. Since sliced banana doesn’t store well in the fridge or at room temp, I do suggest popping them in the freezer if not eaten right away. I actually like them frozen. Plus, with the crunch of the pretzel, the sweetness of the chocolate, and the creaminess of the peanut butter and banana, you can customize the recipe to whatever you and your family are craving. Not to mention, they’re fun to assemble and look as good as they taste. So why not make a batch and let everyone enjoy a delectable treat?

For this recipe, I like to pick slightly less ripe bananas as they are a bit more firm. For the chocolate, I like these chocolate chips. They have less sugar and amazing ingredients. The peanut butter I use is always the Costco one. Peanuts are the only ingredients, it has great flavor, and it’s runny so it’s easy to use. You can also top it with a little sprinkle of sea salt too. We eat them after the chocolate hardens but if I can sneak a few away, I like to pop them in the freezer. They make great frozen treats.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHOCOLATE-DIPPED PEANUT BUTTER BITES

  • Chocolate chips or any chocolate you like for melting
  • Bananas
  • Pretzels
  • Peanut butter

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE-DIPPED PEANUT BUTTER BITES

  • Chop the bananas
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds increments, stirring after each time.
  • Spoon a little peanut butter over the banana slice. Top with a pretzel then dip in the chocolate.
  • Let dry on parchment paper. You can also add a sprinkle of sea salt.
  • Store leftovers in the freezer.

TIPS AND COMMON QUESTIONS FOR THE CHOCOLATE-DIPPED PEANUT BUTTER BITES

  • What’s the best chocolate to use? I like using dark chocolate but milk or something in between works great too.
  • How to store these? Because the banana is fresh, store the bites in the freezer to prevent browning. Or eat them right away. They usually don’t last long!

Peruvian-style chicken with creamy green sauce T Peruvian-style chicken with creamy green sauce

The chicken is smoky, garlicky and grilled until juicy, but the creamy cilantro green sauce is what really makes this recipe. I could put it on just about everything.

I kept the heat family-friendly by using just one seeded jalapeรฑo, but you can always leave some of the seeds in or add another jalapeรฑo if you like things spicy. Serve it with rice, grilled corn, potatoes or veggies for an easy summer dinner the whole family will love.

For the chicken:

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp kosher salt
ยฝ tsp black pepper

For the creamy green sauce:

1 packed cup fresh cilantro
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 small jalapeรฑo, seeds removed
1 garlic clove
Juice of 2 limes
2 tbsp grated parmesan
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp honey
ยฝ tsp kosher salt
ยผ tsp black pepper

Whisk together the olive oil, garlic, lime juice, vinegar and seasonings. Add the chicken and toss until well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.

Add all of the green sauce ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and add another squeeze of lime or pinch of salt if needed. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Grill the chicken over medium-high heat for about 5โ€“7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until cooked through to 165ยฐF. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and drizzle generously with the creamy green sauce.

Serve with rice, grilled corn, avocado, roasted potatoes or your favorite veggiesโ€”and definitely keep extra green sauce on the side.
